![]() As a teacher Christopher has been a sought after Bassoon teacher giving lessons from Harlingen all the way to Rio Grande City. Christopher’s first performing experience in Texas came when he joined the McAllen Symphonic Band in 2013, he has been a member ever since. In 2017, he accepted a position with McAllen ISD as the head director at Cathey Middle School. Christopher graduated from VanderCook College of Music in 2012 where he held the Principal Bassoonist’s Chair for multiple years, and in the Fall of 2013 relocated to Texas to be the Associate Band Director at La Joya Palmview High School. He has performed in the Classical Symphony Orchestra, Northwest Chicago Symphony Orchestra, The LaPorte Symphony Orchestra, Bensenville Chamber Orchestra, and the Michigan City Municipal Band. ![]() Once a high school graduate Christopher began performing throughout the Chicagoland metroplex. As a junior at Chesterton High School Christopher earned first chair in the Indiana AllState Honor Band. Originally from Chesterton, Indiana Christopher Jones began playing bassoon in seventh grade.
